victory. the word i always come back to as I reflect on what this day stood for.

 

victory in patient waiting, victory in choosing life and presence and wholeness together. 

victory in tending to one another as they do the corner of earth that has been given to them

 

i can still hear the bubbling laughter as i remember flitting about the room, from one delightful conversation to the next. observing the deep joy, comfort, and sense of home that existed across all varying social circles in that very full to overflowing church basement.
